GDSFactory+: The All-in-One Solution for Chip Design

Welcome to GDSFactory+, the enhanced extension of GDSFactory that provides advanced capabilities for modern chip development. This extension includes support for foundry PDKs, simulations, and comprehensive verification tools such as DRC and LVS.

GDSFactory+ provides a powerful and flexible environment for designing and simulating chips with electronic, photonic, and RF components.

• A rich set of design tools including a graphical layout editor and a graphical schematic editor

How It Works¶

GDSFactory+ authenticates each user through a license server. To use the software, every user needs a personal API key.

Getting access:

1. An administrator signs up for GDSFactory+ and requests a trial or subscription for their organization. Then invites other users or admins to create an account in the GDSFactory+ Customer Portal.
2. You generate your own API key in the portal (under API Keys → + New API Key) and paste it into the GDSFactory+ extension to authenticate.
3. You open the sample project you received from the foundry and install the required PDKs. You can start designing and simulating your chip right away!

Administrator roles:

• Admins invite new users to the organization
• Admins can grant admin privileges to other users
• Each user manages their own API keys
